What We Offer

Fauna Veterinary Collective is a full-service general practice for dogs, cats, and exotic pets (including small mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians). We are not an emergency or specialty hospital. We do treat all urgent conditions for exotic pets, including but not limited to acute anorexia (like GI stasis in rabbits), lack of defecation, broken limbs, cloacal prolapse, lethargy, toxin ingestion, and egg binding. For emergency medical attention for all species, we may refer you to one of our emergency hospital partners.

  • We’re your primary care veterinarian! We provide fear-free nose (and beak) to tail consultations to ensure your pet is healthy and happy. Whether it is your new puppy, baby bird, or senior snake, we have all species covered at any age. We will discuss all things wellness including vaccinations, microchipping, intestinal parasite testing, blood work screening, and how to best care for your precious creature.

  • Fauna Veterinary Collective is a veterinarian for your whole crew! Start your new furry, feathered, or scaly baby off with us. We will talk about all of the necessities from juvenile to senior, including vaccine scheduling, routine deworming, disease screening, nutrition, and basic socialization/training.

  • Is your pet experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, or itchy skin? Maybe allergies, an ear infection, or irregular eating habits. We’ve got you covered with a comprehensive exam as a starting point to providing the best recommendations for diagnostics and treatment plans.

  • We also provide urgent care appointments for the unexpected illnesses and ailments. If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency during or after hours, we will refer you to a 24-hour emergency hospital partner.

  • We have all of the necessary ones for your dog, cat, and rabbit. Core and lifestyle vaccines tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Ask us about the RHDV2 vaccine for your rabbit!

  • We have complete in-clinic diagnostic testing (blood and urine tests) for all species, as well as digital radiography (whole body and dental) and ultrasound. We are able to send out more comprehensive tests to our laboratory partner, including DNA sexing for your pet bird.

  • We keep medications and treatments onsite, so you will walk out of our clinic with everything you need.

  • Our team can provide comprehensive medical care tailored to the unique needs of a diverse array of species, including large carnivores and big cats, ruminants, and large avian species. Our experienced veterinarian can perform regular health checks and on-site visits, as well as diagnostic testing and surgical procedures at our clinic.

  • We perform a wide range of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries for all species ranging from spay and neuter, gastropexy, laceration and wound repairs, enucleation, mass removal, and bladder stone removal - just to name a few. For orthopedic surgery, we will refer you to our specialty hospital partner.

  • In dogs and cats, periodontal (gum and teeth) disease is a leading illness diagnosed that can affect the whole body including the heart, kidneys, and liver. It is crucial for animals to have their gums and teeth examined and cleaned regularly by a veterinarian. We also offer comprehensive oral exams and dentals for rabbits and rodents that can also be severely affected by dental disease and overgrown teeth. In addition to ultrasonic scaling and polishing of the teeth, every dental includes full mouth dental radiographs which allows us to visualize the issues hiding below the gum line. We perform dental extractions and tooth trimming when clinically indicated.

  • Your pets health starts from the food they eat. Each pet has a unique requirement and we will help you identify the formulations and ingredients that yield the best results for them.

  • We provide health certificates for dogs, cats, and exotic pets! Whether your travel is domestic or international, we can provide the necessary documentation you need.

  • We understand the profound bond between you and your beloved pet. During these sensitive moments, rest assured that your pet will receive the utmost care, respect, and comfort. Our goal is to ensure a peaceful transition for your cherished companion, surrounded by love and dignity. We are here to help guide this decision and support you along the way. For at-home services, we will refer you to our wonderful Lap of Love partners.

  • If you are an existing client and can’t make it in, we offer Telehealth visits for your convenience. You can video chat with your veterinarian to share your pet’s medical concerns. We will evaluate your pet and discuss next steps. *per CA state law, this is available to current clients only (pets seen within the last year).

  • We partner with local animal shelters and animal rescues to provide veterinary care to these precious animals looking for their forever homes. Send us an email to inquire more about this program.

  • Our veterinary team is experienced with handling and treating local wildlife. If you find an injured or orphaned animal nearby, contact us for guidance on what to do. We partner with our local animal control to help these creatures get to proper wildlife rehabilitation centers.
